October is harvest season at Llanerch, so there is never a better time to visit us and enjoy our bountiful vines, beautiful autumn countryside and, of course, delicious wines.

Our vines are already bursting with ripe grapes waiting for the perfect moment to be picked and turned into our award-winning Llanerch Estate & Cariad wines.

And, as we are home to a luxury hotel, two AA Rosette restaurant and a wine tasting lodge, our have guests a unique opportunity to stay amongst the vines and experience the magic of harvest time at Llanerch first-hand.

We offer daily wine tasting and vineyard tours throughout the year, giving our guests the opportunity to sample and learn more about our red, white and rose wines, and enjoy a guided tour through the stunning vineyard nestled in the Welsh countryside.

October is a particularly special time for a wine tasting and vineyard tour as guests will experience the vines in all their beauty and heavy with ripe grapes. Harvest can take place at any time during October as each of our different varieties of grape becomes ready for picking.

It is crucial that the grapes are picked at exactly the right time in order to produce the best possible wine and there is often not much notice, but you may get lucky and witness our team hand-picking up to 18 tonnes of grapes during the month.

We offer great value deals for stays during October so that as many people as possible can enjoy the vineyard in its peak.

Our Wine & Dine Escape is particularly popular for couples looking to soak up the romance of the vineyard at this time of year. It offers two guests an overnight stay in one of our luxurious rooms, which includes a bottle of still Cariad wine to enjoy together. The experience continues with two places on a wine tasting and vineyard tour, a delicious three course dinner at Llanerch Restaurant in the evening and a full Welsh breakfast the next morning.

Guests are free to explore the vineyard, which is lit by fairy lights every evening, and enjoy a pretty autumnal walk around Llanerch’s woodland trail and lake at their leisure. We also have a heated and covered rooftop terrace – the perfect place to relax with a drink and take in a breath-taking elevated view of the vineyard.
