Villa Cosmiana’s ‘Super Tuscan’ which bears the name of the most famous owner of the estate, Amerigo Antinori. Now own by Welshman Sean. The wine is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months before being assembled in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and further matured in the bottle for a minimum period of six months. It shows a deep red garnet colour and displays aromas of red fruit candied in vanilla, cocoa and cinnamon. It has a strong density and is long in the mouth with almost velvety tannins.

The Gran Reserva 904 is sourced from the best vineyards in the region. The wine is aged for four years in American oak barrels, followed by several years of bottle aging before release. The result is a complex, layered wine with intense aromas of red berries, vanilla, and spice. On the palate is full-bodied and well-structured, with a smooth and velvety texture. The flavors of ripe fruit and oak are balanced by a subtle acidity and a long, elegant finish.

This Bordeaux blend from Chateau Lynch Bages is a classic wine from the Pauillac region of France. It has a deep ruby color and a complex aroma of dark fruit, spices, and leather. The tannins are firm and well-structured, making it a great wine to pair with red meat dishes or to age for several years.

This dark ruby/plum Pomerol offers up sweet black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, velvety tannin, medium to full body, and a nice lushness and silkiness. A beauty with great fragrance and suppleness, it’s not enormously endowed, as a great vintage would be, but it is undoubtedly an outstanding wine and a brilliant effort from ’Evangile in 2012.

On the palate, fine balance on the attack continues with good flavour expression before a fairly long finish with lovely structure, still lively and with a hint of woodiness.

Laborum Late Harvest Malbec is a decadent dessert wine from the Cafayate region of Salta, Argentina. Made from late-harvested Malbec grapes, it has a nose of ripe black fruits, chocolate, and spices, and a palate that is full-bodied and velvety with flavors of blackberry jam, caramel, and vanilla. This wine pairs well with chocolate desserts, strong cheeses, and nuts.

The Pedro Ximénez grapes are dried on straw mats before being fermented and fortified, after this they are aged under the solaria system like other sherries. The drying of the grapes intensifies the sugars and the resulting sherry is possibly one of the sweetest wines available. If you dream of a drinkable version of Christmas pudding…this is the sherry for you.The nose is bombarded with raisins and dried figs, there is caramel notes and toasted nuts. The palate is sweet and rich, true opulence for those with a sweet tooth.

Very youthful deep purple colour for its 14 years of age. On the nose powerful and with great depth of fruit, packed with layers of ‘jammy’ dark fruits such as cassis and blackberry. On the palate full bodied and well structured, with complex flavours of dark fruits and nuances of black chocolate. Excellent balance combined to ripe and firm tannins lead to a prolonged and stylish finish.
